KUALA LUMPUR: After Indonesia, Honda has now introduced the all-new 2022 BR-V in Thailand recently, while we here in Malaysia are still awaiting the model's arrival. Thus giving us a fair chance to check out the next-gen model beforehand ahead of its local debut.

2022 Honda BR-V: Variants & price
Honda Thailand offers the new BR-V in two variant options, the entry-level E and range-topping EL. They are priced as follows
Powering the all-new 2022 BR-V is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC inline-four engine generating maximum power of 121 hp along with a peak torque of 145 Nm. The drive is transmitted to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.
The all-new BR-V showcases a modern look making it the perfect commuter for urban drivers. Some of its key highlights include - an LED headlight with daytime running light, LED fog light, smart entry system, progressive rear LED light, and 17-inch bold alloy wheels.
The all-new BR-V comes with comforting cabin equipment that takes care of passengers' comfort and convenience. The BR-V’s spacious cabin comes with a modern dashboard wrapped in leather displaying a premium and stylish impression. Part of the car’s spec sheet is - an automatic air-conditioning system, 4.2-inch TFT meter display, multi-functional leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather-wrapped shift knob & console box, 2nd-row armrest, 7-inch touchscreen display, USB & Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone connection, and hands-free telephone.
Taking care of the passengers and driver’s comfort is a day/night rearview mirror, vanity mirror & lamp, map light, auto door lock by speed, footrest, glove box, a 2nd-row power outlet, cup holders, seat back pocket, leather upholstery for door armrest, door pockets, and 3rd-row power outlet.
Also, the car is designed to offer low NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) levels.
2022 Honda BR-V: Braking & handling
The MPV comes with a pretty abled suspension system that offers a smooth ride. Part of the set is MacPherson Strut & H-Shape Torsion Beam suspension.
In Malaysia, Honda offers the BR-V in two trim options - base E and range-topping V. The car retails for RM 90,700 and RM 97,700 respectively. And now we are waiting for the arrival of the next-gen model that is expected to be a bit costlier and will come with some added features.
